Vanilla Poppy Seed Pancakes Recipe
*This Pancake Recipe can also be used as a waffle recipe, simply follow directions to make the batter; then pour into waffle maker as you would with normal batter.
2 tablespoons sugar
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon Whole Blue Kosher Poppy Seeds (use Unwashed United Kingdom Poppy Seeds for best flavor)
2 cups milk (cold or room temperature)
In a medium bowl mix milk, baking soda, flour, eggs, sugar, salt, and vanilla.
Drop batter by the 1/4 cup into greased pan.
Cook until you start to see bubbles on the top of the raw batter, then flip. Test with knife to see if finished.
For extra flavor and crunch, sprinkle additional roasted Poppy Seeds into syrup on top of pancakes.
